Time for the monthly Windows Update and I got worried when I noticed that KB908523 (the fix that keeps my system from booting) disappeared from the list. Sure enough, it was russian roulette again, so I had to figure out which of the 10 updates this month was the magic one that would keep my system from booting. Acronis TrueImage earned its keep once again; if you don't have this program already, buy it now! And MS: how can you expect people to keep doing Windows Updates automatically if stuff like this happens?!?!
